Neqi A/S

Neqi A/S, a KNI subsidiary, in Narsaq is a meat and crop processing business, offering produce from South Greenland to sustain the Greenlandic way of life and traditions. We supply high-quality livestock and crops farmed in the wild. At our processing plant, we develop and refine our butchery trade and potato farming. Annually, we slaughter and process more than 20,000 lambs, 1,900 sheep, 150 reindeer, 100 heads of cattle and 7 tonnes of potatoes. We also develop new products with the aim of creating new jobs and supporting our own farming operations.

Arctic potatoes

Potatoes are one of the food crops that thrive in South Greenland, where the climate and unique soil make the crop resistant to the blights that threaten livelihoods elsewhere in the world. This means that we can enjoy Greenland potatoes full of flavour and healthy energy from Neqi.

Promoting local produce

Many places in the world are known for their lamb. And Greenland is one of them. Neqi supplies Greenland lamb with all the flavour of our rugged wilderness. The lambs roam free, eating wild plants and drinking the purest water. This gives the meat its special flavour and quality, and makes Greenland lamb appreciated at home and abroad. At Neqi, we ensure that the greatest possible number of customers in Greenland can enjoy our quality lamb.

Ready-made meals with the taste of Greenland

Neqi offers a range of ready-made meals composed in partnership with award-winning chef Inunnguaq Hegelund. His commitment to using local Greenlandic produce and ingredients, and raising awareness of their value ties in well with Neqi’s mission to refine more Greenlandic products. All of the meals are ready to heat and serve.
